I think both general ideas running through this discussion are correct:

  1. SkyH put in serious work and despite the high watermark some payment in realization for his work is fair
  2. WL agreed to a high watermark with SkyH in order to properly align incentives and ensure that WL is not paying for mal performance

So it makes sense to both pay SkyH $50k, and also to ask him to ensure a smooth transition with the next TM.

You all think Sky didn’t make any money for himself during his time as TM? Think again. If you think he deserves more than donate to him from your personal account.
