I very much agree with your point, it can end up being an exercise in futility to get together and brainstorm ways to make everything better, the team could have everything handled already. It’s not my intention to require replacements of anything they have with content we create. What we’re hoping to do is come together as a community to figure out exactly what the community thinks needs changed, then create the content with those changes, and deliver that content to the team to do with as they please. If they’d like to toss it in the rubbish bin, that’s perfectly fine. We feel their job might be made easier and the community’s voices clearer, if we can help create some of this content alongside them, to use at their disposal.
