[WIP #6] - Wonderland Moderator Compensation

Can we have data how much revenue wonderland is making monthly so we can get a perspective/percentage the moderators are gonna get?

There is limited treasury activity right now. Until a TM is voted in (SkyH/Bastion WIP is pending approval), any stats would not reflect accurately the % revenue we would get.

However, based on the current treasury value and the current rate, it would take over 900 years to drain the treasury.

At one point we were making 1mil a day, so 3x-ish the yearly amount per day.

Anyway, until a TM get rolling, these numbers are just projections.

Im not opposed to paying moderators. I am not sure how much work goes into being a moderator. But they should be hired on a probationary period for about 90 days then have the community evaluate how they are doing and see if we want to maintain or replace individuals. (by vote) A new set of eyes brings new perspectives.

Iā€™m still voting no on this. I donā€™t want your service because itā€™s unnecessary. We donā€™t need to over pay a bunch of mods. Announcements should be made on the god damn website like a normal platform. What the hell is wrong with you Danny? Money should go to a dev team not a mod team. The fact that this proposal isnā€™t dead is embarrassing. This kind of investment should be made AFTER weā€™ve figured out how to have a treasury that makes money. Stop worrying about the Discord and start worrying about the fact that Wonderland has no damn incentive. Jesus Christ people. You donā€™t hire a customer service team for a company without a product. Make the damn product!

This proposal feels like Will Smith is slapping you live at the Oscars.
Not only we have been through hard times together, but we have still a long way to go to be on the right track again. Investors got hit really hard after the fud that the team created with sifu but a lot of people like me are still believing in this project and its huge potential.
Hopefully, after the ragequit, most of the holders left are the real hodlers.
Moderators are volunteers, they chose to do some tasks for free and after reviewing and asking them about their duties I really donā€™t see a lot of work apart from a few simple discord tasks and help in the forum for demanding a salary that compares to the one of a dentist or any other well paid/respected job that requires real skills and hard training/studies.
The team has quite a big allocation of tokens that should cover every working cost and I agree that mods should be compensated as I have been managing multiple communities, but I think that asking the community to provide such compensation from investorā€™s money is a bit outrageous, especially after what we just have been though. If the Mods feel like that after taking a volunteering position, now they need to be compensated, to ask the Team to provide for such salary as community help is part of the work there needs to be done. If part of the community members really feel like mods should get some compensation, I would suggest opening a Moderation Wallet for donations where everyone is free to get any amount they see fit for their work.

wMemo is a share of a treasury, itā€™s not a token created form thin air like Spell, DOT, BNB and others.

Pay with wMemo is like take a slice of the treasury and give it to the moderators. Which is the same as give them Mim. Pay with wMemo does not make any sense to me.

About ā€œvolunteer moderatorā€ I would agree on that but we are talking about a 10k users discord (which is not the only social we have). There is plenty of work to do. I red their task and responsibilities and I would agree about a wage.

I agree about 25k been al little to much but, for example, here in Italy after tax ecc there would left 2k$

This is a terrible idea

as the mods are working for us i would say that we need to be able to see the tax statements from them to make sure that everything is above water. especially after all that criminal sifu shit. we NEED transparency. and of course everyone has to be fully doxxed with a resume visible to every investor, just as it would be in a company.

Can I get my 1000 dollars back thatā€™s worth 50 before you do this thanks

Thereā€™s some logic in what your saying, relative to pain felt by the community, especially those still here. However the real question is how were the previous mods paid? That should simply continue. This project started with paid mods in place, no vote, simply the structure established by the founder(s). Carry on with that historical process.

Would be smarter to use 3mm in stables to yield farm and then using the payout respectively the yield to pay the mods. Treasury doesnt get decimated and people still get paid for their hard work. No price fluctuations and a guaranted salary. Others suggested that as well but seems like a reasonable way to execute this.
Win-win. But in general I like the WIP you got my vote. Mods have to get something for their hard work. Still cant believe they did it all for free. Gotta love these guys

Why are we using Treasury funds to create 8 full-time jobs for tasks that 1 person can do when our investors have lost more than 75% of their investment.

Any payments should be made as a percentage of profits made from the Treasury during that month. If the communityā€™s treasury is not making more than the suggested moderator pay, then payments are reduced. Those of us who did not buy into Wonderland early are down significantly and not looking to pay moderators additionally on top of losses. The project has a duty to regain funds through investments and can use those profits to pay mods.

The treasury should be making our entire payment within 1 day of each month. In the past it has made more than 3 times the yearly cost of the entire team in 1 day (1mm+ per day, mod pay is 300k for the entire staff). The issue with using a percentage is that our payment could balloon to an unfairly large amount. A particularly good month of trading should benefit our members more than us.

Hi Guys
I am in favour of compensation for the moderators.
However, I think discord is a cesspit of complainers and very lazy people that canā€™t do the most basic research for themselves.
The amount of useless idiotic comments posted in the various channels is very annoying. It is a very easy way to disseminate FUD and misinformation.

Honestly, nothing to add. Letā€™s just get this proposal voted Lol

Congrats and thanks for the service, mod team

Letā€™s just put it to the vote. Money will speak if DAO wants to pay out of their pocket instead of Dani and Sifuā€™s multi-million dollar wallets.
