!! There are several companies ā¦ blockchain companies, exchanges, down to Xbox and Facebook literally looking for exact positions to be filled (which are synonymous to moderationā¦) and offering some type of Finacial package whether itās salary or similar to their proposal. I think that does make a difference especially with those in the community who are opposed to this proposal as a whole

Moderating a community, especially in toxic moments like this January and Feb, is an emotionally and mentally crushing task. I donāt know if if 3k MIM is the proper amount, but it seems in the ballpark to me.
However some other good points were raised, such as the need for better and more educational content. Give that responsibility to this new team. Since Alice will be given discretion on allocation, maybe lower the overall base a bit (say 2k) and then allocate more based on additional duties taken on. Example a discord-only moderator may get base and be happy. Someone else who has a nack for tech-writing can create tutorials and other educational content, host AMAs, etc, and extra.
If the community canāt agree on this proposal, think moderation is a voluntary task, and this proposal fails, I will float the idea right now that idea of TWL as a direct democracy DAO has failed. If the community canāt even see through its own toxicity that moderation is needed to keep things civil, letās change the governance model where we vote a board to govern on fixed terms and remove the community from any other decisions. OR even better, letās switch to the ābenevolent dictactor/wise crypto-(rat)kingā model some of us may yearn forā¦

I voted yes but Iām one of the many longtime wMEMO holders whoāve been removed from the Discord without having done a thing to break any of the rules, and canāt get back in.
Being locked out of Discord, I can attest to the fact that thereās zero meaningful communication outside the Discord. No active twitter, no medium posts, no real voice at all.
Seriously, the only way I can find out whatās going on is to get scraps from randoms on youtube and twitter.
If Iām being asked to pay the mods, I damn well expect to be able to have full access to all the channels of communication Wonderland uses.
